But the nuclear war clouds would be covered by the actual clouds that surround the planet. Plus, a mushroom cloud is actually quite small compared to other clouds in the atmosphere, so the chances of actually seeing the mushroom clouds are quite small.

...I just went on an Atmospheric Science spiel for the 20th time today. xD

Well, a nuclear war wouldn't be just one mushroom cloud (for it to meet my expectations), but a whole shitload of 'em. xD Consider it to be like the lights on a christmas tree.

You ever read the Animorph series? They could change into whatever animals they could touch.

Kinda puts a damper on turning into a pheonix. Then again, I want to turn into a dragon, and that's not going to happen with that method.
