Here are a few of my tips for role playing. If anyone else has some feel free to post them.
Things to do Before You Start to Roleplay
1. Read all of the character files.
2. If you have any questions on any particular character just post them in that character's profile or send a private message to that character's creator asking the questions.
3. Make your own role playing character(s)(For tips on making a roleplay character see Making a Role Play Character section).
4. Select the role play that you want to join in or create your own(for tips on creating your own roleplay see the Creating A Roleplay section).
5. If you are joining an existing role play read the entire role play. If you have any questions feel free to ask via private message or just post in the topic.
6. Join in on the role playing by posting a reply to it.
Creating a Role Playing Character
1. Think of what speices you want your character to be(Examples: Human, Vampire, Demon, Hedgehog, Dog, Cat, etc.)
2. Come up with a name for your character.

Note: I know the one is a baby name site but it works.
3. Now to think of your characters powers. Try to make them unique. For example, you can have your character to be able to control the element of air. That means you can have your character brew up windstorms and be able to blow their opponments away from them with a wave of their hand.
4. Time to think of what your character looks like. This is completly up to you. You may look up pictures on google of people and use them as a basis for your character's looks.
5. One of the most important things here, give them a background. It can be interesting or boring, it's up to you. But let me tell you this, from my roleplaying experiences if a character doesn't have a background in a roleplay the role play goes downhill(this is what usually happens, it doesn't always do that though.) However, this step is optional. I'm just saying that if you do this step it makes your character interesting.
6. Decided where you want them to live. It can be in another realm, your actual town, or inside someone's body. It is completly up to you.
7. Come up with some miscalenous information. Examples: Does your character like to sneak into marching band competitions and sneak a Sniper Rifle in with them and shot everyone that is marching a particular band? Or do they like to act like a dumbass in public by saying stupid things like, "What's a bird." and "I don't know what my name is, AAAHHH!!"?
8. Decide how old you want you're character to be.
9. Create your character profile.
10. Once you are done with your profile then post it in the Character Profile Forum.
There you have it, you just created your very own role playing character.
Creating Your Own Role Play
These aren't hard to make. Here are a few tips for making one though.
1. Think of a good topic for a roleplay. It can be completly random(Example: The Adventures of Hippie Shadow and Sonic the Hedgehog: When Barbies Attack) or can be an extremly serious topic. Just let you're imagination soar.
2. Once you came up with a topic figure out which characters you are going to use in the roleplay.
3. Make sure you post your role play in the right part of the forum. We wouldn't want a role play going on in the Announcements section, would we?(I know, this one is very obvious but I'm posting this one for Teddy)
4. Make a good introduction post for your role play. Try to incooperate the subject of the roleplay that you're aiming for in your introduction post. Don't state it like this: This is the topic of the role play: Cheese. If you don't role play about cheese then I'll kill you. <-That's a little extreme but I have actually seen people post that in their introductive post.
5. Create a title that you think best fits the role play.
6. Post it and let your role play begin.

Useful.. its compelling me to make one  and god knows. As random as i am, if i started, i wouldnt stop. so ill put off any Roleplay ideas as of now xD
